Six of us took the Duck tour from our Norwegian Star cruise. These "ducks" are purpose built machines that seat about 60 people and are not the WW2 amphibious vehicles that are sometimes adapted to this use. You do climb a staircase / ladder to board because the vehcile is about 6 ft off the ground when on land. Once...

Had a great time on my Ketchikan Duck Tour even though the weather was rainy & blustery. As a result were not able to do the water portion of the tour. However, Aerec, our driver "Captain" and Lee our "Narrator" did their best to make our experience enjoyable & informative.
Lee's personality really added to his presentation...he was funny &...

This is the second time I have taken the Duck Tour in Ketchikan. Both times we just had a blast! You get to see some great sights both on and off land and get some local history from some very knowledgeable staff. They do make a lot of corny jokes ... but they always "quack" me up! You should go,...

Our family of four had a great time on the Duck tour with Captain Don and Narrator Rene. They kept our kids entertained and had us all laughing for a fun afternoon ride. It was interesting learning about Ketchikan and especially fun to go into the water with the float planes taking off right next to us or close to...

I was here on a Princess cruise. The duck tour has mltiple time slots in which you can go. I had done the Bering Sea Crab Fishing tour prior to doing the duck tour. Both excursions leave from the same dock as where our ship had docked.
The duck tour vessel was actually almost at the end of the gangway...

This is definitely the best way to see Ketchikan when you only have a few hours. I was impressed with our driver, Captain Don, and his assistant, Rene. She was excellent - very knowledgeable about the area. The 2 hour tour was very enjoyable and we learned a lot in the short time we were there. I highly recommend this...

The tour was great: 1) we were picked at the dock, 2) the jokes were plentiful and tasteful, 3) enjoyed the water part, 4) the whole tour was approximately an hour and a half and 5) the guide gave an informative narration of the city.

Had been on an amphibious vehicle before and thought we'd just go along the road a bit then into the water but it was much more than that - the driver was very amusing as was his assistant who proved very knowledgeable about the area and had photos for us to look at of the fish caught in the area....

It was very wet & misty, and the plastic walls became opaque, so the portholes were essential for taking pictures. There are very few sites of real interest in the town, so the trip in the harbour was the most enjoyable, with 6 cruise ships in. The tour guide & driver were very likeable and made the best of very little.
