i am not begging you to go here, all the better for me if you stay away, but if you wander out instead of buying another t shirt then you deserve the experience. Watch for whales!

The location is awesome and amazing. This is an experience like no other...you are one with Mother Nature here! Loved the Shrine of St. Therese! Went back several times during just a four night stay in Juneau!

The Shrine sits on a small peninsula a short walk from the car park. There are trails on the main land, a small labyrinth, and two gardens. The shrine includes a few paths, a small chapel, and large stations of the cross set on land perched above the water. It is absolutely stunning and a great surprise. Highly recommend a visit, Catholic or not.

Depending on when you are out there you can sometimes see seals, whales and otters. The shire is very peaceful and the views from it are amazing.
It is about a 20ish minute drive from the airport and the view is amazing all the way to the Shire.
