At sunrise we hauled our 9 person outrigger canoe into the Golfo Dulce, Right on the beach near Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula on Southern Costa Rica. We explored the mangroves, and river estuaries, and saw 3-4 Spinner Dolphins on the way back in to beach. Fresh Pineapple, drinks and cameras ready. We saw a boa, troop of howler monkeys, and... I can't recommend Aventuras Tropicales enough! My wife and I did the full-day kayak adventure, as well as the dolphin watch/night-time mangrove trip, guided both times by Alberto. He was so informative, friendly and fun! We had an amazing time! We spotted howler monkeys, a sloth, coatis, dolphins and tons of fish while snorkeling on Sandalo reef. The all-day adventure... More

At the last minute we booked a 3 hour trip into the Gulfo Dulche to look for dolphins and watch the sunset. We didn't see dolphins, but we did see the sunset. Alberto was a great guide, telling us about the bay and his indiginous family history. He was very interesting and very professional. We paddled to a remote beach,... More

Kayaks were in good condition, with a choice of singles or doubles. We took two singles and a double; the singles were easier to handle, with the double being a bit large for some of the passageways between branches Tour left in mid afternoon (timing is dependent on the tide; call ahead to check), with the courteous and informative owner,... My wife and I just got back from a trip to the Osa and were recommended this easy paddle trip through the jungle mangrove. Our guide, Adriana, was wonderful. She had a great eye for finding wildlife and could name the wildlife by their sounds. I'd highly recommend this. For what it's worth we also stayed in the Lapa's Nest... More

We spent three days in Corcovado park. This was amazing. we heard that there are nice kayaking tours around high tide that you can take, to see wildlife. part of the tour is in the river and then in the sea. Aventura Tropicales- mangrove tours. the tour is at 3pm and it's 3 hours. 30 bucks pp. a group of... More

We went on a kayaking tour for 4 days with Alberto and Laura and it was a tour with a lot of new, nice, amazing, surprising experiences. I never did kayaking before nor camping in the jungle and it was no problem, because everything was very well organized. I`ve learned a lot about costarican nature, culture and warm-hearted people.... More

In March 2009 we took a four-day kayaking tour of Golfo Dulce, and there’s no doubt we got our money’s worth. (Actually, a lot more, considering the rather low price Aventuras Tropicales charges.) The logistics were flawless, the equipment was first rate, the food better than anything I eat back home. I’m writing this review, though, because we got something... More

My husband and I were in Costa Rica a couple of years ago and went kayaking with Laura (the picture of the dolphin jumping on their website has me kayaking in the background :) and had such a fabulous experience. They are a local family who cares very much about their local area and bring that same care and compassion... More
