I don't even understand how you can review this. The Sirena Ranger station is a government run lodge in the heart of the only old growth costal rainforest that exists in the Pacific America's. There is no competition (and hopefully won't every be.) It's relatively cheap. You can get space in a cabin or on a platform for your tent.... More

We hiked for 5 hours around the station and saw a great variety of wildlife - tapir, agouti, butterflies, birds, coati, basilisks, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and spider monkeys. Get there early to avoid the "crowds." Mostly flat hikes. More

Very pretty location, disgusting loos, far to many people so noisy and unpleasant. Offering only very limited access to the National Park it was very disappointing. More

We saw some tapir which is a rare sighting. The jungle is hot and humid. Pack plenty of fluids. Beware of ticks. More

if you think of a ranger station in the middle of the jungle you do not expect much at all. We were pleasantly surprise that they had rooms with only five bunk beds and there were even showers. Just cold water and only a trickle but what more can you ask for? The place was kept fairly clean, the mattresses... More

I walked from Los Patos Ranger Station to Sirena Ranger stantion, Spent two nights at Sirena and then walked to La Leona Ranger station. It was amazing; The rain, the forest, the wildlife, and just the fact of being in a real contact with nature. I loved it! More

Great location, best place to watch wildlife, busy during peak season, the food they offer is rather expensive but it was good(you have to consider that you stay in the middle of the jungle and everything gets delivered a long way by boat). We slept on the platform in our tent and the washrooms and showers we had to use... More
