Please visit the Bat Jungle if you are traveling to the Monteverde area! This educational conservation project is one of the least expensive activities in the area and one of the most important to our whole world environment! We like bats, being from Texas and Austin being a huge bat place, but even if you don't this tour is a great learning experience. Plus at only $12 it is worth it to see the bats eat and flying around. More

This hour long tour tells you more than you thought you wanted to know about bats, but amazingly it is very interesting. We now think about these small flying mammals in an entirely different light. We learned about their tremendous value to the environment and especially to farmers. More

This is something that anyone interested in nature should stop to see. We seldom get to actually see bats because they come out when it dark. Here the day and night are switched for the bats, so they are active. Once your eyes adjust, you can see these wonderful creatures whose importance is greatly underrated. You lean more here in... We really enjoyed our visit to the Bat Jungle. We arrived just as a tour was starting (one an hour) and got straight into the history of bats in the area and bats in society.
