After reading other reviews, we caontacted Flornetino (Tino) via our hotel when we arrived in PV to organise a 4-5 hour walk thourgh the Gandoca-Manzanillo wildlife refuge. We were not disappointed! We met Tino at the Maxi restaurant at 7am and he walked us through the picture postcard gardens of Manzanillo village tasting and smelling and feeling the plants as... More

Florintino took us on our first hike into the jungle in the Manzanillo Gondoca Wildlife Refuge. It was a moving experience. From the spice trees in the village, to the birds in the pond, the sloths in the trees and the ants on the ground, Tino helped us see the wonder of the world around us. Our tour began in... More

As everyone else has said, this is a great place for bird watching and viewing nature. We had Omar as our guide and found him excellent. It appears from other reviews and from speaking with people there that there are at least 3 guides who are all quite good: Tino, Abel and Omar. You're likely to have a great experience... More

We hiked with a wonderful guide (can't remember his name) through the park for about half a day and were thrilled to see sooo much wildlife and gorgeous beaches. Paths are flat and easy - which is good for people like my mother who broke her ankle a few years ago and can't walk on uneven or rocky surfaces. We... More

My wife and I had the great pleasure of having a guided hiking tour of the rainforest at Manzanillo by Florentino. He was one of the most intelligent and entertaining guides we have had. His knowledge of the rainforest is very impressive. We were fortunate to have Daniel with Cabinas Yamann (See our other review od Cabina Yamann) set up... More

By far, the best thing we did on the Caribbean coast was to take Tino's 4-5 hour guided hike. So amazing everything he told us and that we saw. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my 11 year old daughter. We saw monkeys, sloths, toucan birds, poison dart frogs, insects, bats, etc. In addition, we learned so much about... More

My partner and I just returned from a 2-week Costa Rica vacation-our second Costa Rica vacation in 6 months. During both trips we did a lot of hiking all over Costa Rica but found our hike with guide Florentino to be by far the best! Florentino knows so much about the area and the flora and fauna. He went out... More

This is the second time I have been here and I told myself that I will not forget to write this review. ( I stink at this type of stuff) We went here in June 2012 with some family ages 11-74. We wanted to do some snorkeling and a lady we met told us to go to Manzanillo, walk past... More
