Have done this three times in the last 4 years-fantastic tour for first timers to CR, and fascinating especially for those who want to get close to monkeys, crocodiles, etc. Guides are good and you will always get one who speaks English. Have done this with a tour co, and driven out there independently-the latter is more fun but only... More

my husband and I recently took the Swiss Travel tour Palo Verde. It was a 1/2 day tour, which fit nicely into our vacation. even thiugh many reviewers wrote wonderful things abut Eric's tours on the Playa Conchal Beach, we decided to book with Swiss Travel. They were less expensive than Eric and we felt more assured going with an... More

We were looking for a tour we could go on by ourselves, well this is one we found. When we called to make reservations, we were told to meet them by a Gas Station near Filadelfia. The back roads being a bit difficult to navigate...no signs! They were right on time and very gracious to the 4 or 5 carloads... More

We did 1/2 day tour and that was plenty of time. Got a tour of small town, went to this place where we got off bus and had fresh fruit and a little store, then got on boat and went sown river and spotted several crocodiles, iguanas, birds and monkeys. Didn't even need bug spray. Got tons of cool pictures,... More

We traveled from the Hilton Pap. Resort with our guide Jon. The whole ride alone to the River was filled with information about Costa Rica from agriculture to the state of the economy. We went through how all the fruits and crops are harvested to the educational process in Costa Rica and much more..... Needless to say our guide Jon... More

I went to this tour and it was fantastic, I could see lots of wildlife, birds, monkeys and crocodiles. The guide was amazing and the captain very polite and concerned that we could all see the animals. Then we went to his eco farm where we enjoy an incredible lunch where we ate the best lunch in my stay and... More

We went with a Great guide. It allowed us to see so much more than we would have on our own. We work at Yellowstone NP and are very good at spotting wildlife we are familiar with. But our guide Christhiam Carrillo has lived in the area his whole life and is intimately familiar with the sounds and habitats of... More

Thie was one of the most enjoyable nature "cruises" we've ever taken. We were on a small motor boat cruising the river that flows through this park with about 12 other travelers plus a guide. We went with a company called MOnkey Tours. They picked us up at our hotel in Samara, fed us lunch, motored us down the river... More

I booked this trip with Erik Garcia of Conchal Adventures (On the beach outside the Westin Playa Conchal) for my family of 4 to Palo Verde. We negotiated a good price and I paid a deposit. An example of how honest Erik is came that evening, he phoned the room to explain a change in meeting location that another family... More

Our group of 4 took a riverboat tour of the Tempisque River, which borders Palo Verde National Park. Booked the trip online via www.paloverdeboattours.com and arranged for a tour operator to meet us in Filadelphia so that we could follow in our rental vehicle. The price was $58/person, which included a 2-hour boat tour with English-speaking guide and delicious lunch... More
