Had a great experience with the tour company. Our guide Diego was great and boat captain made sure that we saw everything there was to see. Saw crocodiles, monkeys, different kinds of birds, iguanas, and I could go on. We did the lunch tour and food was good too! Would highly recommend this. More

We did not see "tons of wildlife, endless amounts of crocodiles, etc" but thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It feels a bit "touristy", some other boats had operators feeding the white face monkeys which is not allowed but perhaps did this to satisfy "us" tourists. Totally recommend the lunch after the tour. The place has a great look to it, folks... More

We saw tons of wildlife, including endless amounts of crocodiles, white faced monkeys, howler monkeys, Jesus Christ lizards, hundreds of iguanas, bats, a lot of bird species, and much more! Our guide had incredible eyes and Pointed out lots of wildlife with a mirror reflection. The owners of the tour company are incredibly nice and the lunch was awesome. The... More

Having a rental car and staying at the Marriott guanacaste, we booked directly with Delilah who runs the tour. Our tour guide met us at the gas station off 21 at filadelfia. Tip; ask for fabresio and have him ride with you. He was very helpful and will help you get to/from the boats. Do not skip the lunch, it's... More

We stayed at the Flamingo Resort & Spa & booked the tour through TAM tours. We left the Flamingo at 7:30 AM & returned about 1PM. We did not do the lunch tour. We saw white faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, crocodiles and about 22 different species of birds. Well worth it. More

Visited with a friend and truly enjoyed seeing all the new bird species (new to me, anyway!) We are birders and so did enjoy seeing them. Tour was comfortable, guide seemed knowledgeable. Only regret was that it was not longer ( boat tour was 1.5 hours). More

The tour was good but the boat was full and it was difficult to hear the guides (the guides who did the most talking were, I believe, affiliated with other tour groups on our boat). I saw other boats pass by with only 4 people but ours was packed. We met the guide at a service station in Filidelfia (sp?)... More

We had a wonderful day at Palo Verde. It was about an hours drive from Playa Hermosa Guanacaste. We took a morning boat ride, but all the boats are covered so it was not overly hot. We saw more animals than we expected : scarlet macaws, crocs, howler and capuchin monkeys, lots of lizards and iguanas, herons, bats and the... More

If you're looking for an individualized tour, check out Costa Rica Amazing Tours. You can either go on-line, or find Sergio on the beach at the Riu. We (me, my sister, niece & 74 year old mother) went on two tours with them. The Palo Verde boat ride was awesome. Seen a ton of monkeys, crocodiles & birds. CR Amazing... More

The owner of the house we rented is friends with the owner of this attraction and recommended the trip as a "can't miss" and I'm sure glad we didn't! What fun, seeing all the tropical wildlife and having the cute little white face monkeys come right in the boat to get some bananas. Our riverboat guide took us right in... More
