Our guide provided a very informative commentary as he walked us around and through the facilities. I learned a lot about growing, picking, processing and roasting coffee. And their coffee is delicious!

We did this attraction as part of a combo tour with Poas and the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. It was a wonderful day trip and a great way to explore the beautiful area surrounding San Jose without a car. The tour included a short walk through the coffee fields and a tour of the roasting process. The garden of Doka...

We were not that interested in doing this tour, but decided to go because we had some time to kill. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about coffee. You are able to taste the different types of coffee beans and taste the coffee from each kind of bean also; you really can taste the difference! They also...

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to visit this plantation and boy are we glad we did! The plantation grounds are gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful. Admission is $20 per person and you can pay an additional $12 if you would like to eat there. We spent time in the butterfly garden before our tour began....

This tour was an unexpected delight!! From the pre-tour sampling of several different coffees visitors are taken through the entire process of how coffee is grown, how the berries (not beans) are harvested and selected by quality all the way to the final roasting process. The Doka family has been operating their coffee business since the 1820s and most of...

What a great tour!! I truly didn’t expect to learn so much about a coffee plant and everything that goes into Costa Rican coffee. The tour started with how they harvest the beans to the final roasting results. Our tour guide was excellent and provided so much information in a fun and informative manner. I feel like an expert on...

My friends and I stopped in for an afternoon tour. We ate lunch and explored the butterfly garden, bonsai garden, and greenhouses before our tour began. The tour was very informative. They started at the beginning of the process, coffee buds and planting, and went through harvesting, processing, and roasting. I thought the tour was a great length--about an hour--and...

The guide was good & the tour informative, but for the price a bit short at one hour. Had sample coffee in the restaurant prior to the tour, but it was watery and weak - like what you used to get at a McDonald's a decade ago. They may grow some excellent beans here, but because they do not perform...

Not what I had expected. this was part of our tour. Breakfast was local rice/beans, tortilla, cheese, coffee, and tea. Wish I knew that before taking 2 kids expecting somewhat of a continental breakfast. The grounds are well maintained. Tour was informative. Coffee samples great. It was exciting to have my kids learn about coffee farming just like the learned...

We stopped at Doka estate with a private guide for family off four. We skipped the breakfast. Estate was very cared for and clean. Scenery was beautiful and tour was very educational. Coffee prices were great but you do pay an entrance fee. Highly recommend it if want to do something nice and relaxing. My wife loved it.
