There were upwards of a billion people it seemed back in that day in July of 2011 when my new bride and I went there. Nice, simple place, but dang...much too hot to be in hot springs. Only go when the weather is cool...and that doesn't happen that much in San Carlos. Not a good place to go for a...

This place was campy but very family oriented. It was a fraction of the price of the others. On a weekday it was very empty and still had the great volcano view. Perfect for a picnic or for a family with younger children.

Where the locals go! our kids had a fantastic time and it was only $25 for our family to spend the day. The pools are clean and the grounds are huge. Get there early on a weekend if you want a shelter, we went on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy.

Termales Los Laureles is a great place to see how local Costa Rican families enjoy their beautiful surroundings. We went on a Sunday and the place was packed with families cooking out steaks and swimming in the many pools. I'm really glad we tried a place that was a lot less touristy. The entrance fee was also a plus- only...

As mentioned by other reviewers, this is not the glitz and glamour type of experience, but for $10.00 per adult it was great value. Good variety of pools / tubs, clean and attractive property, nice shelters with tables, good washrooms and change rooms -- a hidden treasure. We were told this is where "the locals" choose to go, but the...

"i'm happy." That's all I could say all day at our visit to Los Laureles. It's smaller than the other hot springs in La Fortuna and the Arenal area but you can stop at a local grocery, buy your own picnic and eat at one of the lovely picnic tables spread all through the park. There are even grills. And...
