I usually don't leave feedback but thought I would do this to possibly save the frustration on someone else. I live 2 hours away & happened to stop by while in area only to find employees don't know how to handle credit cards when modem line is down. Really wanted to check this place out but they gave up after... More

Went to Valley Head for the Christmas in the Caverns. There were no road signs on the roads that we took. A GPS would be necessary. The address is 1438 Country Road 731, Valley Head, AL. Directions are from I-59 take Exit 239 to U.S. Hwy 11 S. Go 3 miles to County Road 731. Turn right onto 731 and... More

This place has been around for years. There are several caverns in the area, but I like this one best. The staff is friendly and very professional. If you come when it's not busy, you will get your own private tour. More

my husband wasn't a fan of this outing, but I thought it was nice though pricey. The cave was cold which was nice in July, and the tour was about 45 minutes long. The tour guide was annoying, but the cave was nicely lighted and the cave formations were really pretty. No blind cave fish, but we did see a... More

We were really impressed with the amount of water in the cavern. This cavern is renowned for its "looking glass lakes" and we definitely saw why. The pools in the cavern were full and overflowing. The tour guide, Nick, was really knowledgeable about the history of the caverns and the elements within it. There were several beautiful formations. Make sure... More

This family owned attraction was a very pleasant surprise. Our tour guide was a young man named Nick who was a lot of fun.He showed so much pride in his family history and accomplishments and showed such a vast amount of knowledge. Oh and he was really a funny person also!!!The caverns are closed for certain seasons so check out details... More

There's two tours you can go on, the "Regular" walking tour and the "Wild" down-and-dirty, gritty cave experience. No, I did not do the Wild tour, but only because I wanted to save something for the next time I go! The regular tour has many beautiful sights to see, and the cave is very beautiful. The owners are amazing people... More

This cavern is an awesome stop if you are passing through the Fort Payne, AL area. The family who has owned the property for 100+ years gives the tour which is entertaining and informative. This was my first cavern, but I am not sure how any could top it. More

When you drive up, it's a very unassuming kind of place. You would never guess that a huge underground cave existed beneath the tiny barred entrance. It was very neat, like stepping into a different world! There are some rooms with 70 foot ceilings, and others with huge pools of glassy reflective water, and others still with subterranean waterfalls that... More
