It's an absolute must for children, toddlers to middle school, even high school. Many participatory experiences relating to history, culture, traditions, etc.

We enjoyed the museum itself! We had a great time and it kept my children occupied and was age appropriate for them. However, the staff weren't very friendly or helpful. The programs that were offered were geared more to people who had "memberships". Besides that it was a good experience. We would visit it again.
This children's museum was a sweet surprise that we found while my husband was working nearby. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist that gave us an overview of the museum, and we were more than impressed.
The miniature versions of real-life businesses like an ice cream shop, drug store, bank, post office and more were fascinating to my child....

This place is so much fun! Our daughters love coming here! With all the little play areas that are made to replicate real-life, they can play hospital, farmer's market, sea captain, fisherman, southern belles, barber, soda hop, teacher, etc. Even my husband and I find ourselves really getting involved and letting our "inner child" out to play too! Hands on Museum is a great day of fun for the whole family, group discounts for schools.Children are allowed to change into costumes and pretend to be someone famous. It is educational but no one realizes that that are learning.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! The kids love to come here and play farm, hospital, boat, barber, dress up, astronaut and many more things. They could spend hours just running back and forth to the different activities and then they tire out and sleep good that night!! If you have never been you simply must visit!
My 6 year old daughter loves going to "CHOM". There are two floors filled with interactive play exhibits that truly are fun for kids of all ages!
Three floors of various hands on activities to keep the young and old occupied. We spent about 2 hours there and could probably have spent more but was worried about the 2 hour parking out front. The old fashioned soda shop, one room school house, and bank were the favorites. My son loved it all.
6th birthday party. Barbie/Princess party. The staff tripped over themselves to serve us and our guests. Very well worth it. Parents drop off kids and the sgaff and host parents handle the rest.
This was one of my favorite places to go as a child and I have many memories of visiting The Children's Hands on Museum. It is not expensive and a place where you could take your kids and not have to say "No don't touch." Not only is this a place where kids can enjoy themselves it is also educational....
