I could have spent DAYS here! If you like plants, what's not to like? Great gift shop with plants for sale & Wi-Fi, a nice little restaurant (though it was closed on the day we were there), a library with the most plant information I've ever had available in one place, and beautiful, peaceful gardens- so many we weren't able...

We went to the Botanical Gardens for Earth Day on May 5. We walked around and enjoyed the gardens before checking out the information tables. Its a nice place to spend a couple of hours walking around looking at the flowers, turtles and koi fish. Earth Day could have been a little more exciting but the people were very nice...

The gardens are very pretty. It's a good place to go for a relaxing day to walk around or even bring a picnic lunch with you. Admission is free, so there's no inconvenience there. this is a wonderful FREE attraction in Birmingham. A must see. so many different gardens to view, a Leaf N' Petal shop to pick up a unique gift or new item for your home, a library, and more. A great way to spend an afternoon.
