If you are ever in the Hanceville, AL area, you may want to drive out to this shrine. The church is exquisite, and built to resemble the famous church of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy. It reminds me of being in Europe. In addition, the bookstore itself is an attraction. You will find so many Catholic books, statues, holy cards,... More

We recently spent a few days at The Shrine of the Most blessed Sacrament. It was truly a great experience and a wonderful blessing. It is a place of beauty that is open to people of all faiths. If you would like to truly feel the presence of God, this is a must visit attraction. More

The drive out to the shrine is so beautiful, with its winding roads and green pastures. There is a 7 am Mass daily and the bookstore opens at 8 AM. More

If you get the chance stop here. You would never think a place this big and awsome would be out in the sticks. The castle gift shop has some very cool tings to see. More

The grounds are just worth a visit in itself. The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament...there is no photography allowed in the sanctuary itself, however there are plenty of photo opportunities scattered throughout the grounds. Allow yourself plenty of time to explore. I only visited the castle, and the upper sanctuary (church) due to time constraints. Absolutely beautiful place in... More

I have never been so overwhelmed and being in the presence of God as I was on the grounds and in the Church. It was an experience that I'll never forget. I wanted to cry because I was so emotionally touched. A must for anyone to experience. I want to go back. Everything was so quiet, serene, and beautiful. More

Just got back from visiting the Shrine as well as EWTN headquarters and the Saint Bernard Abbey in Alabama. Beautiful area, peaceful and refreshing and best of all the monks at the Abbey. Prayed with them every day. Highly recommend. More

My husband and I were near the Shrine for his college reunion and decided to make a visit on our way back to the airport. We got off of the expressway and drove about an hour to get there. As soon as we walked into the church I was approached by a young man who told me that 'the Sister... More
