This Temple is over 3000 yeas old and one of the ancient shaktipeeths housing the toe of sati. Beware of the pandas who are total goons, visit with a local only or be ripped off, down to your underwear !!. Incidentally the picture is wrong, it is of Dakshineshwar temple.

You don't really need to pay the Panda for the darshan. If you take a taxi, as the taxi driver to get you in. They probably can do this for you and won't charge you a dime more. It will get crowded on Fridays.
