This place of worship of God Ganesha is highly revered by all who believe in him. Many people even travel long distances barefoot to get a glimpse of the beautiful statue of the Shri Siddhivinayak (Ganpati,Ganesha).just the mere look at the beautiful idol of the lord makes one feel peaceful and clam from within and gives confidence in their work.It is...

Once you visit this temple you will find all your negative energy depleted. Though there is a big line and lot of hustle, chaos and tiff in order to enter the main area where the statue is placed, the surroundings are very calm and peaceful. It makes more sense to spend time sitting and lazing around inside the temple. Just...

There are many temples in Mumbai and this was one of the nicer ones. Many people around telling you what to do and where to go.
Leave your camera in the locker. Walk through the security with shoes on. Take your shoes off before you go into the actual Temple. We were ushered down a side entrance (obvious non-Hindu tourists)....

Crowd well managed only on weekdays.....Better visit on weekdays and non-public holidays. Parking problem.
Visiting the temple early morning at about 6am on any week day except Tuesday is the ultimate divine experience. You get to be in the sanctum for quite some time and when you come out, you feel blessed.
Our friends in Mumbai took us to this temple and I must say that I was very impressed to see the devotion of the people there. We went at 7 am and already there were long ques outside the temple. Although I could not see the idol of lord Ganesha very clearly, but I did enjoy visiting the place.
We visited on a Tuesday, a auspicious day for the visit (although we realized only after landing inside the temple). It was quite crowded and took nearly an hour for darshan. We had a good experience visiting the temple and felt quite peaceful. We were not asked money or forced to buy anything at any point in time.
It has become more of a business than a place of worship, it shakes my faith in the institution that all that matters is how much you are spending at the temple, and accordingly you are treated at the place. Its a shame...I loved visiting the place as a child..
Most famous temple in Mumbai. We loved to visit this temple. The temple has access to wheel chair. we have visited on sunday. It was crowdy. People are very much cooperative.
