If any tourist, irresepctive of his religion or creed, has half a day to spare, this is a must see. It is one man's creation in five years totally with voluntary support. A monument which makes every indian proud! « less

They call it a temple and it does look like the same, architecture is good and the facilities are of 5star status. every thing is so good about it only issue is it is too commercial money oriented temple.

Serenity is omnipresent in whole of the campus of Swaminarayan Akshardham. The art work in the temple and the campus is worth seeing........g. I wish and hope that this latest work of art will/should be declared EIGHTH WONDER of the world. The evening AARTI with musical fountains makes you realize as if you are in Sawapan Lok or in the... too artistic in design and structure. it is just walking distance (400mts) from Akshardham metro station. You need to submit all your electronic items at baggage counter and take token. Then you go for the security check. Then you enter the gardens leading to the main gate and then into the walkway to the temple and finally the temple. You... More

Open spaces, architecture worth looking for whole day, this play is simply the best..it shows what indian art, decor and architecture is all about, though temple is always buzzing with devotess yet you never feel cramped, open spaces as pe rthe vastu are testimony to hindu way of planning and architecture. Temple is commercialised yet it have kept its sanctity,... More

Swaminarayan Akshardham wasn't on my list of places to see in Delhi, but a fellow traveller at our hotel recommended we go there. Having visited I would say that it is the number one place you should see during your time in Delhi. The metro station is very convenient, with the front entrance a meagre 5 minute walk away -... Whilst travelling in India I must have visited somewhere around 100 temples, but this has to be my favorite. The temple is housed in a large complex, and they're very strict about what you can bring in; the rest of your belongings (phones, cameras etc) will be deposited, so it's not really worth bringing them. Anyway, once inside the complex... More

Hi. If you are in Delhi - you HAVE to see Akshardhaam temple. Period. It is super awesome. The architecture, the art, the sculpting - simply amazing. It is undoubtedly one of the most amazing architectures of modern India. Do not miss the Life story of Swami bhagvan - the technology used in the real life animation is probably better... More

I was very impressed by the architecture. It is so beautiful from outside that i stood in front of it just staring. I did not even care about the extreme heat outside. My friends almost dragged me inside the temple. It provides lot of knowledge about Hindu religion. It is not a small temple. You will have to walk a... More
