Bright colors, striking architecture, lots to climb on and photograph. The restoration hasn't been kept up as well as it might be, but Jantar Mantar is still worth a walk around. More

The buldings in dark red has strange shapes. The gardens are good. At sunset there are good photo op. More

Make sure, if you're visiting Delhi, to take time out for this startling and fascinating site: the Jantar Mantar, which is actually one of several strewn around Rajasthan. well worth a visit in Delhi and other cities because the feeling is great, everyone astronomical instrument is described, you can also purchase the book album in the store, or from street vendors, you pay five times less than their price More

Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five Yantra Mantras in total, in Delhi, Jaipur, Ujjain, Mathura and Varanasi; they were completed between 1724 and 1735.
