I visited Chandni Chownk with my friend for some shopping. There are numerous markets like katra asharfi, katra nawabi, krishna road, kinari market etc. The shops on the main road are somewhat expensive. Be aware of the agents that take you to some shops. They chase you like anything and you have to be very stern to get rid off them.... More

Chandni Chowk runs through the middle of the walled city, from the Lahori Darwaza (Lahore Gate) of the Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid. Originally, a canal ran through the middle of the street as a part of the water supply scheme. It was initially divided into three sections:[4] Jama Masjid, the iconic 17th-century mosque of Chandni Chowk Lahori darwaza to... More

Be prepared for the assault on your senses. Old delhi offers an experience like no other... Old markets, the place has history from the Mughals to the guru dwarf sis ganj- a holy place for the Sikhs. Don't miss the bird hospital to remind you kindness to animals is part of the ancient indian culture. Go with good walking shoes,... More

The only aspect that impressed me was the cheap prices of goods, and its proximity to tourist destinations, otherwise the crowd can make you mad.

Too many people, too crowdy. There are many other nice shopping areas or hotels areas in Delhi. South Delhi is much much nice, clean and calm.

The oldest bazaar in Delhi. One of the things where the time stands still. The same hussle, crowd of people. As you see in old movies, it doesn't change.

This area is very crowded but you can spend a week shopping if you have time. Bought so many inexpensive goods and enjoyed the experience immensely. We may not be great in bargaining and probably overpaid but we didn't mind it one bit.
