Very well kept home. Nice to see all the old decor and the pictures of the old sandakan. It reminded me of old english houses. Very very nice. I would recomend it as it is like stepping back in time

It reminds visitors of the colonial days of the past; you can have English tea there at a cost (not inexpensive) but worth trying to get the colonial touch of the old days. You can get there by taxi or go up the staircase.
Pay a visit to the Agnes Keith home..It open from 9am - 5pm. After the visit, you can drop by English tea house for a lunch or brunch. You can view the whole Sandakan Town..
Extremely interesting place, better if you read her book "Land Beneath the Wind" beforehand. And a pleasant English Tea complete with scones afterwards. Highly recommended.
What a find - in the middle of the heritage trail and a very welcome break during the heat of the day. We were transformed back to old colonial days, met with ice cold damp towels and served tea on bone china. We sat at a table on the lawn - loved the views and had mocktails and scones -...

Not many artifacts but the history allows photographs and so a picture of live on the hill above the town easily emergies. We loved the phot of the Borneo natives tasting ice for the first time. A great cool break in the middle of the heritage walk
The house is located on the finest hilltop in Borneo, with a magnificient view of the habour of Sandakan. Such a beautiful house and well preserved by the Sabah Museum.

There's not that much to do in Sandakan itself and this is one of the highlights. The house is very well kept and has sufficient content to transport you back in time to the colonial era. Charming.
The restoration work done to preserve the history of the house is a commendable effort. Outside the house, there was nothing much to see but we can catch the glimpse of the whole Sandakan town & the Sulu sea. We were not allowed to take photography inside the house & we spent like 40 minutes to walk around the 2...

A surprisingly interesting museum about an American expat who lived in Sandakan during the 1930s - 50s. Her husband was the conservator of Forests and she wrote books about her life in Borneo. The old photos are great and it really gives a sense of history to Sandakan and Borneo.
