Ptolemais is a great stop when traveling between Benghazi and Cyrene. It is a little jewel of another historical site of ruins in Libya. For this ancient city I first heard in April 2009. I planned to visit with friends Benghazi and its environs during an extended weekend. At that time I did not know much about that area.
