Hat Rin is very nice outside the time window of full moon parties, don't go there for a stay three to four days before full moon, it will be crowded and the price of everything will rise. full moon party is fantastic. during the day its just your average tourist area, bars, takeaways nothing out of the ordinary. reccomend a visit,but wouldnt stick around to long. same experiencee as any other low budget holiday destination. id imagine if your travelling to thailand your looking for more then the usual crap. oh, and it stinks of toilet. Friends and I came in the evening for the full moon party, good place to meet lots of people. Glad I have experienced it but wouldn't rush back. Cannot comment on the beach standards as only saw it at night. More
