If you are doing day-trip to Ayuttaya, skip this place. Not worth visit. Too commercialize, not many choice compare with the one near bangkok. More

I was somewhat disapointed by the commercialization of it. It is now a days mainly a tourist place, no longer a real market. Well I was in the area, so it was ok to have a look, but I did not spend so much time. More

This is totally meant for tourists and looks to squeeze every last cent out of a foreigner if possible! There is absolutely nothing cultural or traditional about feeding a got or some fishes in a dirty pond!! But still I did at least have a good lunch there and a nice foot massage in an air conditioned hut away from... More

Ayutthaya is just like almost all noisy, ugly, character-less modern Thai cities. The tuk tuk charged us 80B from our hotel to the "floating market", but then none of them would take us back for less than 100B; yet another scam. The "floating market" is wooden buildings built on stilts around a small pond. All there is are dozens of... More

This is not the Ayutthaya floating market which is a completely different attraction to the North East of the city, but the Khlong Sabua Floating Market. The two are completely different and should not be confused. This 'market' is in fact a tourist trap and show aimed at foreigners. More

Do not expect an authentic floating market with thai people on small boats selling goods. Instead the market is made for shopping and as a tourist attraction. If you go there with this expectation you will visit a place with interesting stores and food stalls. You can also let your feet massage by small fishes. Sometimes there are concerts as... More

Ayutthaya Weekend Floating Market at Wat Klong Sra Bua is the best place to visit during the weekend. Pay 50 THB for the entrance fee & have free cool drink all day!!! View free four Thai traditional shows at 11.30; 13.00; 14.30 and 16.30. All 4 shows are Thai folk & funny stories. Well, the plays are in Thai language... More
