It may be the time of year but we didn't get to see many birds. However it's a pleasant rickshaw ride through the park.

A must visit for bird watching in India. One can get all the geographical information online yet I will give my readers first hand information, not available online! Things to remember when planning a trip to Bharatpur: 1) If you are a social birder not very serious then please do not take a guide. In order to move inside the... More

We have visited This amazing park two times . The best season for visiting this park December to january , i,e in winter . In winter you can discover different types of birds come from different place and country . You can enjoy this by walking , or by Rikshaw . It is better to hire rikshaw otherwise it takes... More

We visited the sanctuary in the late afternoon (bug repellant is a must!). I was able to see sorts of wildlife (monkeys, antelope, etc.) in addition to the multitude of birds. But the birds were breathtaking. Our naturalist guide was a wealth of information. And the intermittent rickshaw ride /walking was perfect way to see the flora and fauna. A... More

Forget the rickshaw and exercise your legs at this park. My friend and I went at sunrise and rented two bikes (25 INR for indian bike and 40 INR for american bike). The naturalist's fee was about 300 rupees total. You are able to explore the walking paths on a bicycle and the rickshaws are limited to the roadways. We... More

The rickshaw drivers are relentless. If you want to walk the park, be prepared to have to tell at least a dozen rickshaws to leave you alone. That's the bad. The good is the park is easy to navigate with one main road. There is a nice interpretive center that I would visit on the way in rather than on... More

Get yourself ready with Cameras - good cameras with optical zooms are necessary though, but not too important for general visitors. But for eager enthusiasts, DSLR with Tripod is needed. Best time to visit Nov End to Feb End

Keoladeo National Park opens at sunrise and it is the best time to visit the park. The best season to visit the park is from october-november to february. but if you are travelling during the off-season time as we were not to worry you will be able see local resident birds but only from sunrise to about 10am because it... We enjoyed a fantastic two week tour of India, and in all that time I think the only truly peaceful place we found was the Keoladeo National bird park. Our tour guide arranged rickshaws for us, with the rickshaw driver acting as guide. They were brilliant, and you don't need to take the 'official' guides promoted at the ticket office... More
