Still don't understand how a British officer could open fire on a crowd of people, especially women and children. But the garden was very nice, the museum w a mural of the massacre and biographies of Sikh leaders was nicely done. More

Its definitely worth a visit especially since it is minutes walk away from Golden temple. Entering the narrow lane makes you realize the horror of the entire episode. Signs quite well done. Though some people treat it like a picnic spot which is a shame. More

Slavery is a curse. The attrocitis of the british govt. were at its peak, this is the feeling we get when we go and visit this monument. So many innocent citizens lost their lives for no fault at all. A very shameful historical fact!!!! More

The visit of Jallaninwala Bagh, would remind and bring before you the sacrifice common persons made for our freedom which we enjoy today. The walls with Bullet Holes in It, Well where ladies jumped with the children to escape the volley of bullets of Indian Soldiers, under the command of British General. It is all there to see, feel and... More

There's not a lot to actually see here, the important thing is to understand the story of what happened here in 1919. Make sure you understand about the massacre, then view the well in which hundreds of people jumped to their deaths. Hundreds more died in what is now a garden. In the pavilion near the well, read the moving... More

Any visit to Amritsar, would in my opinion be incomplete without a visit to Jallianwala Bagh. It is not just a chilling reminder of the atrocities committed by British troops on an unarmed and unsuspecting Indian populace and the sacrifices that were made by largely ordinary individuals to gain freedom from the occupying colonial forces; but also in the broader...
