Very beautiful place - the pictures say it all! Be prepared to walk a lot! Although there are boats and a funicular, the best way to see the beauty is walking, so do it! We chose route K. At a certain point it was flooded, so we couldn't go any further, then we mixed route C with "our own route"... More

As you go around this beautiful park, there are more waterfalls than you can count coming off limestone cliffs and down into the crystal clear water below. It is something that has to be seen if you go to Croatia.

My wife and I visited this park as part of a group tour with Insight Vacations. We stayed overnight in the hotel located very close to the entrance of the park. Insight Vacations has priority entrance to the park, which meant our group was the first tourists allowed into the park early in the morning before entry time for the... More

Well, this place is just one big, jaw-dropping wow! Mother Nature at her best. We day-tripped to Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb by private car which included an experienced, fantastic, non-rush guide. It took about two hours to get there and also back but this time frame would depend on traffic. There was a lot of water around the lakes from... More

Simly said - amazing !! Untouched nature, lots of waterfalls, grass and trees all around, wooden bridges, lots of birds.... It is the best place I have seen in a while, one tear dropped from my eye when I was leaving this wonderful place. Take a camera, and take extra batteries, and extra time.... no words can describe this place,... More

Visited here from Medulin near Pula. It was a long trip but well worth the journey. Pick up at 7.50 and dropped back at 10.15! We visited at the beginning of the season which was great as not very busy and didn't have to queue to see anything. Lakes and waterfalls were fantastic with crystal clear water. Not sure I... More

Pictures cannot do Plitvice justice. You must personally wander the wooden walkways and climb above the waterfalls to believe what you are seeing. That said, be aware of some really hazardous and challenging terrain. Plitvice can be dangerous and physically halting - and that's without scores of high school kids running in your direction or other tour groups licking at... More

This is a must see in Croatia. It was raining while we were there, so i imagine it is even more stunning in good weather. We come from a part of the world where we have many large and beautiful waterfalls and are usually not impressed by falls in other places. In this case we definitely were impressed. We started... SO BEAUTIFUL! We hiked route H starting from the second entrance right after the park opened. I think that was the best choice because the later it got the more crowded it was and it seemed like all the big bus groups were starting from entrance 1, so there were multiple traffic jams on the trail coming from there direction....
