Zavala won't win any architectural awards, just a 100 or more houses stretching back up the hill from the rocky/pebbly beach. One pizzeria in the harbour, a couple of beach bars and a couple of small hotel restaurants and a small shop. Great place to unwind and do nothing but swim. Zavala beach is supposed to be one of the better beaches in Hvar, and to be fair it is. But that isn't saying much. Nearly all the beeches on Hvar are made up of very rough rock with little or no sand/pebbles. Zavala does have sand, but it covers a very small and this quickly fills up with people. The... More
