Interesting and informative museum including genuine artifacts. This is a nice tribute to a president who loved his hometown. The museum also features a variety of international articles which help any visitor to make a connection. When I was there, there was also a wonderful temporary exhibit on regional legends. Definitely worth a stop!

This former home of a Chilean president also houses a large and diverse art collection, as well as a display of Videla's personal effects, including a parka used when the president visited Antarctica during Chile's claim of a wedge of Antarctic territory. Its location on the Plaza de Armas makes it a must-visit on your trip to La Serena.
