Jalapão is a 34 thousand km^2 region in the east of Tocantins state, whith a very tipical vegetation called cerrado [brazilian savanna), a biome with great diversity of plants and animals.
The major atraction is nature itself, whit canyons, waterfalls, dunes, wild animals and forests beeing part of the routine.
