Not a surfer but love this beach for its beauty, wild natural environment but easy access to all cars.
This beach is well know for its good waves, young and nice people. Lots of small inns where u can spend your nights. Its a very intersting place to be if u want to be close to the nature.
A nice and quiet beach, with some places to have natural juices and lunch. By the Itamambuca neighbourhood, with bars and restaurants. 20 minutes from Ubatuba downtown by car.
Lots of surfers, but families and people that are not there for surfing all sharing the beach peacefully. Wide beach with white sand.
It is situated about 10 miles from downtown. You can take a cab (about 20 reais one-way) or a circular bus to "Picinguaba" (there are 2 buses to Picinguaba,"Vila" and "Divisa", either departing from local bus terminal - not from "Rodoviária" - this is the place where buses from Rio and Sao Paulo stops). Ask to driver to get off...
