Wonderful sound. And OSESP Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de São Paulo is the best Brazilian orchestra. Has a good coffe shop too.

Sometimes if you come an hour before a show, you can get tickets for as low as R$10. Not sure if it is just on Fridays or every night.

Beautiful concert hall. There are free shows every month, just check out the place web page. Keep in mind that people dress casual, at least for the night shows.

Visiting São Paulo Symphony Orchestra's home is always extremely pleasant. Note that this is one of the best orchestras of south America (in my opinion is the best)!

One of the best concert venues in the world. A former train station converted into a concert house. Superb acoustics and great views from any seat. Hosts the excellent Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to enjoying a great concert by the local orchestra, the concert hall itself, is worth the visit. An old train station converted into a world-class concert hall with an impressive integration of the additions (in wood) to a perfectly preserved old building. Architects visiting Sao Paulo must visit this concert hall.

This may be a large industrial and commercial city, but if you ask for advice you will fid some REALLY nice quarters. Spend a bit more on your hotel, then you wobt be disappointed by the district.
