We watches several surfers, some quite good at this beach. There are also sand dunes here with sandboards for rent.

Ideal for surfers, but also for families. Praia do Joaquina is connected with another very long beach by the name of Praia do Campeche. There are a few good fish restaurants and wonderful hilly dunes where you can also practise sand-surfing.

The 363 bus will take you right to the beach, or you can walk or ride a bike from Lagoa de Conceição. I used all three methods to get there in my week in Florianopolis, and it's worth the trip. Beautiful rocks jut out of the ocean, there are restaurants and restrooms nearby, and the sand is nice. Definitely worth...

Nice beach, one of the most famos due to the surf championship. Good infrastructure, big parking lot. Close to the beach there are the dunes where you can practice sandboard.
