Nice place, clean ans looks safe, beautifull with nice people, good places to eat, not at the beach I mean the surrondings.
After years of hearing about all the fuss of Copacabana beach, I much preferred the serenity of the Leblon and the activities at night. It is in effect the same stretch of coastline, but very different, and not as hectic with all the traffic, The restaurant and bars are also much nicer than those in Copacabana as they can take... It's much more upmarket and less touristy here than Copacabana but the beach is just as nice and a great place to chill out - I know this because I live just across the road and just a few blocks in from the beach you have access to the best restaurants and shopping in Rio - if you want the... More
My cousin and I visited Rio de Janeiro and stayed in Copacabana and we decided to walk from Copa to the end of Leblon to see what it was all about. It was a Monday, but we were shocked at how nothing was going on on the beach! Copa and parts of Ipa have street cafes on the beach, but... More
This neighborhood nestles up from impanema( ha that spelling is wrong but I am feeling to lazy to look it up .. :) ) beach is lovely. Especially at night for a cozy little stroll and there are so many great places to eat. Also great for shopping in the day time , if your wallet is feeling very thick.
I spent time on Copacabana, Ipanema and this beach. I liked this one the most. At Posto 11 it is not that far from where we were staying on Fadel Fadel. We would walk past all these little store front food operations and pick up food for the beach and spend all afternoon lying in the sun. I wish I... More

Great for a Canadian, but too cold for most Brazilians, so there was hardly anyone there. Very high surf, too dangerous to swim, but fantastic to look at - it was... More
Leblon. Ahh. It's def the hipster part of Ipanema beach. Go to "post 9-9,5" from the tower to the palms on the right and enjoy the smell of success, money and herbs. This is where a lot of young, fun and creative people hang out and have a good time.
