Nice beach and more quiet than Ipanema and Copacabana, less crowded. And so is the part of the city behind the beach, nice for a walk with great restaurants.

I enjoyed this beach the most, it was quiet and tranquil making Brasil even more enjoyable.

Seems less busy. The surf seems bigger. The town behind is more modern. Efforts are being made to introduce a strip of vegetation between the road and beach to stabilise the sand. Relatively easily accessible by tram & bus.

Clean and secure. Good options of lodging, food (local and international). Shopping: Leblon (streets and Mall). Portuguese food: Antiquarius. Regional food (chopp): Informal. A lot of Oriental restaurants (Japanese).

Great beach but gets overcrowded in the summer.
There you find the rich,beautiful and celebrities of Rio.

Nice beach. Very busy, particularly at weekends. Lovely sunrises if you can get up early!
