An old building from 1810. The good thing is the beauty arquitecture and interior design. The bad thing is that you can enter only up to the entry hall. More

I think you need to reserve to visit the library but it is well worth it. The architecture is beautifully preserved as are the collections contained within. More

The National Library of Rio de Janeiro is the fourth in the world in number of books, but is probably the first in beauty. A huge and beautiful collection, very well arranged and in a sumptuous, refined and inspiring environment. More
