I liked the feeling of old fashioned building that reminded me the old colonial past, and the air conditioning. Very quiet and pleasant tospend half an hour if you happen to be in the centre of Rio. I had a leisurely time visiting the book shop I disliked the lack of chairs and benches to sit.

It is a beautiful building that is worth a visit no matter what the current exhibition is. On the top floor is a permanent exhibition about banking and money in Brazil. Usually the art exhibitions are top class.

Good choice and always with a enjoyable presentation which varies from ancient to modern arts. not mentioning that you can taste a good coffe and buy some books on lobby library
