I love Parati. There are so many things to do there beyond the amazing historic village: farms, cascades, beaches, islands.
Beautiful scenery, lots of boats tied up and moored in the bay. Town is old and quaint with many photo opportunities. The walk on the stone roads to get to the bay can be a challenge. Sometimes the water levels are very high and floods the waterfront area. Not the best place for swimming, but great for a stroll on...

Lovely scenery and warm waters The colonial town of PAraty had distinct colonial architecture and a step back intime!
This old town does not have those flash department stores. It relies on quaint ,well decorated and treasured shop's that have character. The boats are well looked after by there owners who will rent them out by the our so you can sail to the islands where you can dive and admire the wonderful colours of the local fish.
We had a wonderful time swimming off of one of the many Schooners and party boats in Paraty Bay. The mate thru chum in the water and the small fish would school up around us. I was able to take movies of them as we swam with the little guys.
We braved a 20km drive on a very "off the beaten track" road to a place called Paraty Mirim. It is a secluded beach, with some amazing ingle well hidden beach houses. The beach is wonderful and calm, with lots of crabs, clean water, clean sand. Suggest you bring lunch, although there are a couple of pizza type places on...

Loved the schooner tour that Paraty tours is offering. Great value for money and a good opportunity to see several bays and beaches

I started my trip in Sao Paulo airport, the cheapest way to fly from Argentina , a u$d 300 return ticket in Turkish Airlines. Flights arrive at 4.00 a.m. that is really...

Once you take a boat out of the bay the water is amazing. 80deg and lots of fish. But beware!!! The boats are cheap (25 real) but they charge you as much as they can.... if you order anything you'll be charged 5 real service fee and food is ridiculously expensive .. 30 real for French fries.
