All the pousadas and 'guides' go on about this place as a 'tour with a rainforest walk', etc. But the reality is that this is just a very average scruffy beach with many concrete bars (often closed/empty) strewn with debris (naturally, rotten organic material from the trees), and rubbish from the trekkers. There are many many better beaches to explore...

Beautiful, very local and pretty deserted beach. You have two ways to get there. We drove to this very expensive looking villa complex and asked at the security gates for a boat to take us to Sono beach. It cost 40 reals each for a return journey. Just a bus and 1hr walk but so worth it as you'll have a paradise beach only shared with a few campers and surfers. A definately recommendation as a day trip fro, paraty

This beach can be reached by boat or by 1hr hike, the hike is more rewarding as you got to see the full beach view from the top. Going down to the beach, you would feel you own the beach to yourself (only few people on the beach), the clear blue water, the rocks and the green of the mountain...

I was there for new year's eve and camping!!! the best point of this beach is that you can only access it by boat (25R$/px) or by a 1h hike after a 1h bus trip to Laranjeras. Very lovey place to go, with waterfalls as well...I RECOMEND this place

A one hour walk, in a low difficult trail, will take you to a paradisiac beach, with few people, lots of green, plenty of space in the sand to lay down and relax, looking at the beautiful ocean.
