Read all these reviews and its make me think I must be a wimp ! So yes, you can slide down it, but looks to me like if you end up on the right hand side, you end up head on into rocks as you land when the gradual slide steepens. I'm sure great fun....but not one I'd go down...but... More

We didn't want to wait for the bus (they don't go every hour......), so we took a taxi as family of four, which was quick and only 40 reals. It is easy to find. Bit slippery trail in the rain, but worth it. There is a nice bar at the top, with refreshments, food and bathrooms. The natural pool was... More

We took the local bus from Paraty, and had a fun afternoon. We went for a walk knowing there was a rock slide, but not exactly sure where. When we came across it there was just 2 guys ahead of us who we watched slide down, it looked fun so we tried and that was it we were hooked. We... More

Take the local bus but it only goes up there every 1.5 hours, so try to find the schedule for PENHA or there are mini vans that drive more frequently. Make sure to explore by the bar, there is a big rock jump and swimming pool!

Very nice and relaxing and very good setting to watch the waterfalls. Go before the tour landrovers arrive which is around 11am and you will have the whole falls to yourself!

The jeep picked us up and we started at a botanical garden which was not very impressive but as soon as we got to Toboga Waterfalls, things turned around. It was a bit scary to see everyone sliding down the huge rocks and into the water but after sucking up my fear and convincing some guy that I'd only go... More

We took the local bus up from Paraty, the driver was helpful, letting us know were to get off. The waterfall is not very big or exciting for its size rather the fact that you can slide down it! Watching the local kids surf down on their feet was terrifying. We also went to the distillery across the street and... More

Take your car... drive along a scenery road ... walk on trails ... and have fun!!! But dress properly, insect repellent is mandatory, have dry clothes if you get wet, towel, shoes for mud... And have fun!!!

If you do a Jeep Tour, chances are you'll end up here, and it's well worth taking your swimming shorts with you. You can pick up decent speeds both on your bum, or on your front, you just need to try and stick on the black algae as that is the most slippy! The actual run lasts around 15 seconds,... More
