The park is highly recommended for everybody, different birds, butterflies, plants. Good souvenirs store on the exit.
In about 1 1/2 hours you can see every bird of interest in Brazil close up. This was the best use of that amount of time on our entire tour. Some of the birds will let you get close to them to be in a photo with you. Be careful of Toucans, but there are some really friendly ones here...

We visited Parque das Aves because we wanted to have a close encounter with some of Brazil's most beautiful tropical birds, and we were not disappointed. We saw colorful toucans, hyacinth macaws, green parrots... birds we had only seen pictures of. This park is located at the entrance of Iguacu National Park so you can easily combine it with a...

Earlier in our trip we had spent some time in the Amazon and had had tantalising glimpses of the wildlife, including the birds. We had scheduled a visit to the Bird Park after our first visit to the Falls and it was a great end to a great day.
Not only did we get to see a huge variety of...

we were happy to visit the park especially as we had not spotted as many animals/birds as expected in Iguazu park. At the beginning of the birds park you find many different sorts of parrots species but they are all in cages which is hard to see for me. But then there are many huge cade where you can walk...

park. The admission costs R$28, but is money well spent. The park boasts of an...

This bird park has caged birds in large wire cages, and it has birds from more than just the local area. If you like tropical birds and can't get into the "wild" t hen this is a good choice, as the birds inside are rescued fowl...but I prefer to see these birds in their native habitat and not in cages....

the bird park is kept quite nicely. Take time to walk the entire trail. Bring water and poncho; when we visited, it was hot and rained pretty good. At the end, after visiting the entire park, it has a souvenir store with a variety of items for gifts and some snacks.
Blown away by the Iguazu Falls? But don't bypass this lovely little zoo and bird park. A fantastic experience walking in huge aviaries with exotic and beautiful creatures. Must-see.
