It was very hot, use sun protection and a cap. You will need to walk a lot, use appropriate shoes. I did not like waterfall boat macuco, because you get totally wet under the waterfall and I felt a bit scared and uncomfortable.

I was part of a tour group that got here around 4.30pm. Once the guide had finished talking we had only 1 hour and 15 minutes to scramble our way through the park. Bad move on the tour company's side of things, but still captured some valuable pictures and memories. You start the trip through the park at the very... More

Our visit to Brazil couldn't go without visiting the park and also the most important attraction of it, the Iguazu falls. First day we took the Argentinian side and I admit I was charmed. The hostel where we stayed organized for us a morning and evening pick up to and from the entrance, so we basically had all day to... More

this national park is really cool cos it's on the border of three countries: brazil, argentina and paraguay. we visited it from the argentinian side cos we have been told that it's the most picturesque and so i cannot judge the other three but waht i can say that we lived a fantastic experience there. very very recomended

The waterfalls are absolutely amazing. The park opens at 9am and is easy to get to via bus from the city centre, it cost approx 4 reals. The park is tidy and well maintained with continuous buses running to transport sightseers through the park. You can spend as long as you please on this side of the falls. It took... More

Iguaçu National Park is spectacular. The main attraction is obviously Iguaçu Falls, but there is so much more to see! The animals in the park are very cool, especially the Cuatis and Iguanas. Definitely worth a visit.

I loved the ferocious waterfalls....the hikes on the Argentina side are more civilized and developed than in Brazil, and I can't say one side is "better" than the other...see both!! The birds, butterflies and other wildlife are so interesting...look for the butterfly with the seemingly transparent wings...blue and black with a touch of yellow on the tail...who could imagine such... This was a superb well organised national park. The pricing was fair and the standard of services very high. Even the buffet restaurant next to the falls was superb with many traditional dishes. The only point (which did not detract at all from the experience) was if you wanted to do a tour the official guides would take you personally... More

The park on the Brazilian side should be viewed before the Argentine side, as it provides a better overview of the falls but not as much hands-on experience. The path along the river provides many beautiful vistas of the falls and at the end offers the opportunity to get soaked (for those who dare walk to the end of the... More

I recently wrote on visiting the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls under the Trip Advisor topic Iguassu Falls. This is my experience traveling to the Argentinian side from Foz Do Iguassu (in Brazil) for the day. Being a frugal traveler, I took the public transportation back and forth. I caught the bus to Peurto Iguassu, Argentina (has both Argentina and... More
