I returned twice on this recent trip to Praca da Liberdade since every Sunday morning from 0900-1200 there are free tours(in Portuguese only) of the Palacio.Worth the return to see this gem! Nice kept park with water fountains, palm trees and plenty places to sit. Not that large but gets very busy with people walking/jogging/running. Always nice to people watch. Nice views of some of the colonial buildings which have been restored nicely. Often the park hosts events such a jazz festival and other music. More
