It's difficult to get there, you have to cross a path od rocks that let my feet hurting the next day. But it's nice to see.

It's a very long walk, the wind is implacable, sand hitting your whole body.....it's very hard to get there. I wouldn't recomend the walk to people over 30. I was so stressed after this walk, that I managed to come back by chariot, but in order to do that, I had to climb a 70m high steep cliff...........

A nice long walk to get there, but its worth to go for sunset, the only problem is how to come back in the dark?, flash lights worked well and I went there with 4 friends.

The Pedra Furada is the staple of Jericoacoara. It's the most typical tourist attraction. In october you can see the sunset right though the whole of the rock, its great! Its a loooong walk though, and if its high season it can get a little crowded.

My husband and I enjoyed more the sunset by the rocks before you get to the Pedra Furada. Much more beautiful with less crowd. We still got a ton of beautiful photos.

You don't need a guide to make the trip to Pedra Furada. I'll recommend to go early in the morning, as we were hit by the midday sun on our way back, and the aftermath wasn't nice.
