Amazing. Miles and miles of beach and places to explore. Its a little expensive but Brazil is expensive in general now. April and may seem to be the slow months and things are a bit cheaper and you can take your pick of places to stay with some bargaining room. There is a sand dune to try and see the... More

To get to Jericoacoara you do so by a special Boogy. You go through the desert, and suddenly you get to the village. The beach is huge in the morning and it gets smaller in the afternoon. you can walk, you can do surf, sup, kite, you can visit the bluee lagoon and laguna paraiso (very recommended). People is very... More

Jericoacoara still has a very relaxed atmosphere over it. We were there in the high season, but it didn't feel overcrowded. The beach itself is not fantastic, but great with small children. It's more the environment (dunes & lagoas) that are worth going there, as well the atmosphere of the village. Although it is very touristy, it is very charming,... More

Amazing place on the beach with lots of young and good looking people. This is the place for surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. The only thing is that it is more expensive than Fortaleza and surroundings. More

Getting to Jericooacoara is an adventure. The last part of the trip cannot be done in a regular vehicle, it must be done by 4 x 4 or dune buggie, or fitted vehicle. This is not a beach for people who like perfect beaches. There are many donkeys that live on the beach so they do make a mess. This... More

Jeri is a long deserted area with only kite surfers. If Kite is not your thing, better keep out. The village is not worth spending more than a day. Everything has a slightly fake taste and is very much tourist orientated. More

Moon is everywhere. Also is the sun. But here, both have a special taste. Where else the sunset is a daily attraction gathering alms every visitor and local to appreciate it. The silence of the night at the DUNA s perfect to appreciate the moon. And the stars in Jeri`s skies are seen probably as they are in Atacama. Well,... More

The village of Jijoca de Jericoacoara is very nice, has a good infrastructure of hotels and hostels. The landscape of the dunes is breathtaking and there are several water sports that tourists can practice or learn: jet skiing, windsurfing, kite surfing. One of the best places we visited in Brazil. I spent some time in Fortaleza and took a weekend trip to Jeri. Jeri is about 6 hours from Fortaleza, with trips leaving daily, mostly in the AM. With my friends we booked with a travel company that included transport, hotel with breakfast, and a couple excursions. I definitely recommend the all day buggie ride for about 45 R a... More
