Live music every night! Very reasonable cover charges, bands are always interesting. Nice space, excellent beer selection, great staff. Food is always good. More

A couple friends and I went there on a Sunday for brunch, we had heard that the smashers were good! Although there may have been 3-5 tables in the place at that time, it took FOREVER to get our drinks, food, and bill! We ended up asking the barista to get out check and run the credit cards, the waitress... More

We went to see a band we love at the Iota Club and loved how intimate it was! The food was really quite good too -- we shared soup and a sandwich and they were awesome. The menu was really diverse and vegetarian -friendly which I appreciated! Service was good too. More

Well, we thought the food was pretty good (keep it simple: sandwiches, fries, - this is a bar, not a restaurant) . We had excellent service for our food and drink. The atmosphere is pretty basic , non glitzy rock club. Relaxed atmosphere. . Bathrooms are okay and clean enough. Some of the patrons are a little drunk, but not... More

My wife and I went to Iota Club & Cafe after reading an article in a local paper about a show that was appearing in the club. We went early so we could have dinner there. We were disappointed in Iota as it just did not seem all that clean. The menu was not exciting. We had a burger and... More

Dining room was small, dinner took over an hour to come out. NY Strip looked and tasted nothing like a Strip (I am a chef). Beef had sour taste to it. Staff and service, the WORST I have ever experienced in my life. Half of the drinks we ordered was met with "We don't have that", to include something as... More

I'm from Seattle, so my standards for a club are pretty high and I was initially disappointed by the DC area offerings. Then, I found the Iota, which may be my favorite venue not just in DC, but overall. I have so much trust in the venue that I will walk into a show "blind" - not knowing the artist,... More

Iota's is a local institution for music, and it is hard to find a better value for its food and dining ambiance. If you are looking for something hip but laid back, this is your venue. Iota's is a casual local establishment with friendly restaurant, not a polished shi-shi chain. If you appreciate that sort of character and atmosphere, then... More

Well as they say it's a rock and roll world isn't it. Well Iota is trying to be true to this ideal with its door policy. It was tough luck being almost the last in line when a gig got sold out. But to witness THREE times "off guest list" arbitrary admissions of random good looking young girls up to... More
