First of all i expected the area to be jammed with tourists...thankfully it was not. Lots of wide open space along the waters edge with the nearby park. Anyone of any age would enjoy this area. For a beautiful town like Alexandria I thought it was a little run down. The torpedo factory was really cool but thats about it.

The waterfront opens onto the Potomac River. There's a Charthouse for drinks or dinner and lots of places for strolling. Something for every age to experience. Boat rides to the harbor. Restaurants, shopping, art, easy parking. Hotels in the area have freat views also.

Love this part of Old Town Alexandria. After all Alexandria is a seaport town. Taking a nice walk around where the boats are is really nice, especially in the springtime
