We found a fun and relatively inexpensive way to spend the afternoon while in Old Town Alexandria. We took a water taxi ride from the Alexandria Dock over to the Maryland side and explored the Gaylord Hotel / National Harbor. There are a lot of unique shops and eateries there. Our Captain and his 1st mate were very pleasant and... More

This was a great little 1 hour cruise that took you up the Potomac and by some of the most interesting sites DC has to offer. the Captian was great and there was snacks and beverages on board for additional fee. it was a cool experince worth the trip and the price was very inexpensive.

Just returned from DC trip which was timed so that we could see a major league game in the beautiful Nationals Park Stadium.. We decided to avoid the Metro and the hassle of driving to the park: instead opting for the water taxi experience, views and convenience. This boat leaves from Alexandria VA and gets you to the game in time to... Went on the Washington monuments scenic cruise along the Potomac. Very easy to get to the marina, parking only $5. You can sit outside on the top deck of the boat or inside with the air conditioning. Very informative about the history and the sights along the Potomac. Can get off in Georgetown and pick the boat back up later.

Nana, Mom and Dad accompanied two pirate-loving little boys on this 40-minute cruise from Old Town Alexandria to the Wilson Bridge and back. We had a nice time, but it was a little disappointing in that the only thing pirate-y about the boat was a Skull and Crossbones flag flying off the stern, and the two energetic and affable costumed pirate... We took the 7:30pm cruise from Alexandria, Va. There is a tape that plays on speaker explaining the sights as you go around. Stops in Georgetown to pick up and drop off. By now it was dark and the lights were beautiful. The return trip was wonderful and worth the time. If there are lots of kids onboard it would... More

This was a very nice getaway from it all. Our tour was nice, but I wish it would have included more detailed info on the sites. We got a few 'microphone here's this & that but I would have liked to know more details of what we were seeing as we went by. The sites are breathtaking & we got... More

We took the boat from the Gaylord National Hotel to Alexandria for some sightseeing and shopping. The boat was clean and tidy and the captain and staff were friendly and competent. We enjoyed the round trip and thought it was good value for the $16 return fare. And it ran on time both ways.

We took the Monuments by the River Cruise from Georgetown to Alexandria and back again, and paid $78 for 1 hour and 45 min long trip. The views were terrific, but I can only give it 3 stars because of several issues with the onboard experience starting with the price and length of the tour. Sure you have great view... More

I'd give this 5 stars except the ticketing is not what it ought to be. First the negatives: I bought tickets online, but was stumped by the fact that if you try to buy a RT ticket for 7pm, you automatically are put on the next available return boat. We wanted to take a later boat, so I ended up... More
