We were hoping to see a concert here and have something to eat. It is called a cafe. They don't serve food and the bartender was quite rude when he informed us that they were closed for sound check, even though the doors were open. We didn't bother with the concert. More

The name fooled me, not only was no food served but there were no tables at this show, just rows of chairs for maybe a hundred folks or so...I won't give thumbs up for comfort but the evening with Gretchen Peters, Jimmy LaFave and John Fullbright was one of the most enjoyable evenings I can recall. For sound, and for... More

With a folk bent, but with other influences, the Cactus is a great place to listen to Music. Many touring acts play here even though the club is small. And on other nights, some of the best artists in Austin take the stage. Its on the UT campus, so hard to park, but worth it. More
