Have seen a couple of the Greater Tuna shows there. Still has the glitter and gold of the old Hollywood glamour days. More

We visited the Paramount for a screening of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, and really enjoyed the theatre. It's a beautiful building with a lot of character. The seats aren't terribly comfortable in terms of padding or leg room, but overall it's just a very cool old building and a great place to see a show. More

They gave me a seat right in front of a railing so that my knees hit it throughout the performance. The seats are so old I sunk into them and my back hurt, I called them on this and all they said was "sorry".. I will never go back there for a show. More

The Paramount theatre is a restored vaudeville stage/movie theatre. The space itself is worth a visit for old time splendor. A variety of entertainment is offered from various live performances to summer film series and classics. Downtown! Check for current schedule. More

The Paramount provides an intimate setting in a lovely historical building. Unfortunately, the seats are miserably uncomfortable. They offer little leg room and sit low to the floor. The balcony seats are especially miserable. We still take in shows there occasionally because they have some excellent shows that no one else provides and the smaller venue is nice. However, we... Beautiful 19th century Austin landmark. Attend a performance to get the real feel of this historical theater. Comfortable seats and good acoustics surrounded by by the glam of a bygone age. More
