I visited the beautiful capital ground and walked up to the visitor center to see what all it housedl. It was a beautiful building with a few exhibits and visitor information inside. The grounds surrounding are beautiful. The grounds were a nice place to reflect on my day in Austin. More

The workers in the visitors center were very nice and informative. We received lots of pamphlets and information for many places throughout Texas. They explained some useful information before visiting the Capitol. And you can see the flag that flew over the Alamo when it fell. If you want to know about Texas, this is a good place to start.... Even if you have reservations you must get in the security line at the front door in time to get THROUGH security INTO the building by your reservation time.
