The museum is housed in a beautiful home which was also the studio of Elisabet Ney. High quality art in nice, friendly setting. Small enough museum to take young kids. More

This museum dedicated to the internationally known sculptress, Elisabet Ney, is a gem hidden in Hyde Park. They've obviously taken great care to keep it much like she had it 100 years ago. Besides her art, she is a remarkable individual and a great role model! More

Despite the previous review, I didn't find the art "boring." The Ney museum is located in Ms. Ney's former home which enhances the the wonderful atmoshpere. A quiet refuge in busy Austin, don't miss it! More

This museum would be most interesting to Texas history buffs. Nearly all of the sculptures are busts of important historical figures--either from Europe or Texas. Although seeing bust after bust gets a little boring, the beautiful setting of this museum breathes life into the art inside.
